The DeSales University ACCESS program’s online accounting degree program was listed in The 25 Best Online Bachelor’s in Accounting Programs in the U.S. by the accounting.com website.
Ranking at number 11, the DeSales online ACCESS program was cited for a student’s ability to transfer up to 75 credits from coursework or professional accounting experience.
“I was delighted to learn the news,” said Deborah Booros, dean of lifelong learning. “Our team of faculty and staff at DeSales are passionate about designing and delivering excellence in education whether classes are face-to-face or online. And we are extremely fortunate to have dedicated and hardworking students who deserve a quality education and exceptional support from all of us here at DeSales.”
Accounting.com bases its rankings on the collection and analysis of data points from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), a source for data concerning higher education in the U.S., as well as the recognition by one of three prominent accrediting agencies for business and accounting programs. The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) accredits all of the business programs at DeSales.
Other factors that the site took into consideration included school reputation, graduation rate, quality of curriculum, and student preference.
